Wildlife

The Gallatin River Ranch (GRR) ecosystem is flourishing with beautiful landscape.  Our native sage brush, junipers, cottonwood and cedars backdrop to acres of wild grass and wildflowers.  We have resident herds of deer and antelope.  Following normal migration trails, bugling elk can be herd throughout the Ranch during the rut.  There is no hunting or shooting allowed on the Ranch, allowing for a true sense of protected wildlife and serene viewing.

In addition to our native deer, GRR is home to fox, coyote, the occasional bear and several reptile and small mammal species.  For the birder, GRR is also home to several types of songbirds, raptors, and waterfowl.
